The mansion and grounds have lots of charm and character. The staff is nice as can be and very helpful. Our room (a junior suite) was quite spare and was on the second floor. The stairway is narrow and fairly steep with a low hand rail (that is all original and charming) but visitors who may have difficulty climbing stairs should ask if their room will be upstairs or downstairs. I thought ours was to be on the first floor but it was not. The Bed was in an awkward place (up against a wall on one side) making it difficult to get in and out. THEY NEED TO MOVE THE BED, get rid of the existing headboard and move the bed to be centered under the window. The bathroom had NO counter space. They need to add a narrow table (there is room to do so). The bath/shower combo....is way too high to comfortably get in and out of and door is narrow. Bad design. The sitting room is cute as it opens to a porch however the two 'lounge chairs are way too low to comfortably watch TV which is wall hung (and is way too high)! Breakfast was very just o.k. Onsite Parking is nice, but be aware another $50.00 per day and the spaces are limited and can be quite tight.

What a beautiful boutique hotel. Great location! Great Bar and drinks! Great staff! Will stay again.

Very clean place. However, check in is not as easy as I expected for a hotel as they never gave me the details of getting in until i called them

We took the Amtrak to New Orleans, and the hotel was conveniently located near the station. It was close to the French Quarter by public transportation or taxi. The building was right around the corner from the intersection of S. Rampart and Common. For some reason, the neighborhood was noisy at mid-night. Otherwise, the studio was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Location is quiet, but within walking distance to all the action.
