(1,001 reviews) The first room they gave us (which they insisted wouldn’t be available until exactly 3:00 (check in time) had a view of a swamp. We had booked a pool room view at an exorbitant price which was supposed to be a circular room with all windows. They put us in another room with a better view but completely different layout. It was dark! The front reservation staff is not helpful at all. Very rude actually. Treated us like second class people. I happen to be a former diplomat. Worst treatment I’ve ever had at any hotel. They had no water available on arrival so we had to go searching for something to drink after travelling for 6 hours. Pool towels are always an issue and no where to find fresh ones. Our room wasn’t cleaned even though we’d requested it. No compensation or apology. On a positive note. The grounds are well kept and the food was good and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. (630 reviews) This is a beautiful resort hotel. The whole place is immaculate. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and never too busy. Tea & coffee is served to you which saves queuing for the machine. They will also give you a drink to take away if you want one. There are many sunbeds around the grounds. We never managed to get one near the pool. I think these are reserved very early and I cannot be bothered to get involved in the early morning sunbed rush! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are several good restaurants and bars very close to the hotel. Overall this was a great place to stay.
