What more can you ask for, you are on the beach, the employees were friendly and courteous, the place was clean and yeah, I will be back next year, it was like being in paradise!!!

I chose the Westgate Hotel because of its historic charm and convenient location for a funeral service we were attending in San Diego. The location was excellent, but the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed and only the bar menu was available. The next morning, I repeatedly tried to reach room service with no answer. Even after getting help from housekeeping, we still had difficulty reaching guest services. When we finally placed a simple breakfast order for cereal and skim milk, we were called back and told they did not have cereal available. For a room costing over $450 per night, I also expected better amenities. The room had only one coffee mug and two paper cups. No cups for water. The hotel has character and a great location, but the lack of responsiveness and limited service did not match the price.

All I can say, I’ve stayed there 3 times in the past 2 months. Beautiful and loved it. Love all the amenities.
