Central Suburbs Kid friendly Holidays

The smell in the hotel was overwhelming, like they were covering up a different odor. My room did not look remodeled as shown in the pics, but they did have remodeling in progress on the floors above me. I ordered room service on the 2nd night. The food was good but the bellman was less than hospitable and mocked my choices of food and movie that I had on the tv. Stayed for 2 nights, and when my colleagues arrived on the third night, they did not want to stay there. We had a corporate catering event that night at the hotel. The food was good and the catering staff was professional. After the event, our hosts found us other accommodations in another Marriott hotel that was quite lovely, so we moved hotels. Because I had prepaid, I was not allowed a refund, yet the hotel management kept calling me to find out if I was coming back. Most likely because they wanted to sell my room that I had already paid. Hotel has potential, but needs to work on odor and customer service to rank itself high.
