El Arenal Kid friendly Holidays

The single room was very comfortable and plenty big enough for one person. The hotel this year was a lot quieter at night, they have solved the issue of lots of drunks coming in throughout the night and waking everyone up. Rooms always clean. Choice of buffet selection is brilliant both at breakfast and evening meal and generally cooked really well.

Nice hotel. Good location if you like a lively atmosphere. The load SJ at the pool and live music until 11.00 - which could be heard through the 10th floor windows - wasn’t something my 9 year old enjoyed but probably great for a party group.

We stayed for 15 nights, and unfortunately the experience was far below what we expected. Cleanliness: Below acceptable. Dust around the phone charger, ants in the room, mango traces never cleaned, coffee left for two days, missing basic amenities such as toothbrushes, laundry bags and tissues, and even torn towels. Service: Staff were generally careless, unhelpful and often rude. Despite staying 15 nights, many would walk past without even greeting us. The AC did not work for the first three nights, despite repeatedly being told it had been fixed. One night, the electricity in our room completely went off. We were told nothing could be done until the next day and were expected to let our children sleep without electricity. Only after a major dispute were we moved to another room. We asked to speak with management but were told the manager was too busy. His assistant gave us his email and promised to follow up, but he never replied. Restaurant: We witnessed a staff member shouting at a pregnant woman who was taking a piece of bread to eat outside because she was late. Completely unnecessary and very poor hospitality. Credit where it is due: Chef Pepe and waiter Junior were genuinely warm and welcoming. They remembered our children’s names and always greeted us with a smile. After 15 nights, this was a miserable experience. Poor cleanliness, poor maintenance and poor service. Definitely not a 4-star experience, and we would not recommend this hotel.

Primero que todo en la habitación dejamos una basura botellas vacías y las chicas no la recogieron y lo segundo teníamos que avisarle al chico que nos abriera el garaje para llegar . Deberían de tener otro sistemas de cámaras y tener registradas las placas del carro cuando uno hace la reserva. Pero de resto todo genial piscinas desayuno excelente y un chico excelente muy formal el que da las toallas en la piscina el cubanito. Las chica de la piscina principal del piso 0 la chica de trencitas que reparte las bebidas muy grosera. Debería de quedarse callada y no responder de la manera que lo hizo.

Staying at Don Pepe hotel was a good experience. We appreciated the kindness of the staff. There is always someone at the réception, which is helpful. The staff has been Nice and responsive. The hotel is quiet except some nights where young People made parties in their room.

Everything was clean, just bare bones, didn’t think I would have to pay extra to use the safe in the room or just have a mini fridge. I thought that was standard across all hotels.
