The staff was not as friendly and helpful.

Very professional and friendly staff. Lovely room and most comfortable bed. Quiet or low noise levels even off the street side. Food was very good. Bar comfortable. Boutique hotel feel. Health forward with yoga mat and roller in room, fitness center. And activities board in lobby. Like a garden in the city.

We had a very good experience at LUMA overall. I chose the hotel primarily because I was attending a fashion show at Lightbox, located directly across the street, so the location was incredibly convenient. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. My mother has some difficulty walking long distances, and the staff kindly allowed us to check in early, which made a significant difference for us. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel’s location made it easy to enjoy Times Square and attend my event. One disappointment was the room view. I paid an additional amount for a room with a window/view, but our window primarily faced another tall building. Considering the additional charge, I expected a more open or appealing city view. I also think the breakfast could be improved. We stayed for several days, and even when we arrived early, some of the breakfast items were served cold. I had expected a higher-quality breakfast experience. Fortunately, the hotel has other dining options available, and we enjoyed the food we ordered separately. Overall, I would recommend LUMA for its excellent location, cleanliness, comfort, and especially its helpful staff. Being directly across from my fashion show venue made our stay extremely convenient, and I appreciated how accommodating the team was to both my mother and me.
