The carpet in the room had holes in it,I think it has past its used by date

The hotel was in a good location, a bit run down and dated. Hairdryer in the room didn’t work, the window sil was loose and the sofa bed was horrific! My 2 kids had terrible sleeps both nights. I wouldn’t say it was worth the £355 we paid for 2 nights. We’d expect much better quality for that price.

Overall nice hotel. Bedrooms obviously recently refurbished. Look really nice. Huge bathroom. Actual bedroom very small (terrace room) Bed extremely small. Smallest hotel bed we have ever had. Comfortable bed but small. Room far too hot. Unfortuneately unable to open window because we had terrace room could only open patio door which is not then secure. No way of having a partial locking mechanism. Even a chain arrangement. Food very good. But served on cold plates. Not good. Not told about specials and only know after overhearing next table who came in after us being told. Overall the actual hotel was nice, restaurant ambience okay. Did not realise where bar was until after dinner. Maitre de took us straight to table. No obvious sign of bar. Not seated in room with view. Sadly due to the bedroom we cancelled a booking for ten days later.
