Fiesta Island Fishing Holidays

Well the cleaning staff golf carts are constantly in the way. The drive way to get to the rooms is super narrow. There’s no sidewalk so people are walking right in the middle of the road. Kids are riding their scooters and bikes in the middle of the road. It’s very poorly planned situation for getting back to the property rooms that are on the Bayside. The cleaning golf carts are in the way pretty much all day every day cleaning staff was good. The rooms were kind of small for how much you pay. The amenities were OK the restaurants overpriced everything on the properties overpriced. It isn’t a good location being on the bay was fun but all in all it was a pretty mediocre experience definitely will not book a room here again due to just the fact that the golf cart cleaning staff was in the way constantly. The driveways are terrible. It’s hard to find the rooms. Everything is so spread out so you have to drive everywhere unless you wanna walk half a mile to get to the pool all in all, it was a pretty lousy experience.

Great place to stay. But, be careful and read fine print as the extra fees after the stay made my dentures fall out! Get a print out and see for yourself.

Pros: With a few exceptions, the hotel delivered on quality. The location was excellent, allowing walking to downtown, marina, little Italy and Balboa park (we like walking). The food was good and the staff were professional and courteous. The room was comfortable and the view was a perk. Cons: The need to pay attention to all the extra fees. $50+/day to park, $50 amenity fee, $40/day for breakfast. We thought we'd do the hotel a favor and decline room service, with a request only to have coffee pods/water replaced, which ended up with a $10/day charge. The $23 food credit seems low when a regular burger is $28. The AC caused intermittent noises throughout the night that disturbed sleep. These aren't necessarily big deals, but leaves a poor impression that seems easily avoidable.

Substandard service at the Kona Kai in San Diego. 3 star rooms and no restaurant open on Sunday or Monday. Coffee available in lobby from 4:39 AM to 7 AM only. Water available in room water bottles as a bonus. This property is beautiful hover just poorly staffed and managed.

Beautiful hotel. Clean and wonderful mattress, linens and pillows. Dining was excellent. Especially breakfast. There are no shops in the hotel. Close uber ride to Balboa Park. Close to the airport- 10 min drive. Gaslamp district very very close but we are at the hotel.

Location was very convenient to the areas of San Diego that we wanted to visit (little Italy and petco stadium). Room was a bit cozy, but very clean and stylish. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed the restaurant off the lobby. Only complaint is the elevator is small, but it's a historic building so kind of expected.
