(186 reviews) When searching for a hotel we selected the Palazzo Nainer because of the central location and the reviews from previous guests. This hotel is a great Boutique property that the staff make it outstanding! From Carmen at the front desk allowing our early check in when our rooms were ready and suggesting the tastiest ( and warning of the worst) restaurants. Hajji from the restaurant greeting us with a cappuccino and positive beginning to every day, until the our last day when Madeleine took over with a great personality and making sure the buffet had a good variety. We were able to start our day meeting our tour groups at the Piazza del Popolo or grabbing a taxi within a few steps by the twin churches in the event of a long distance meeting place. There also is a terminal across the piazza and through the Porta del Popolo. The bed was comfortable, smart television with streaming options, and each room has unique features and designed uniquely for each of the room classes. Our room type was the Deluxe Room. It purports to be a 5 star hotel and I was certainly paying a rate commensurate with that but it simply isn’t of a high enough standard to deserve a 5 star rating. From staff arguing with each other in front of us to being denied entry to the bar because it was too busy; there simply isn’t enough room for me to list their faults here, which essentially come down to a lack of attention to detail and care but if the management want to write to me I will give them the full list. (26 reviews) This hotel is comfortable and clean. The reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is very near the central train station. While our room was spacious and comfortable, the door to an adjoining suite allowed so much noise - we could hear the neighbours as if they were in our room. Additionally, we were given a mini-bar price list, but no actual fridge in the room. They also have a rule of not bringing any food back to your room! The safe also did not work. There was a split of AC/heat, a large closet and desk. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast started at 8am. It consisted of very tasty pastries, yoghurt, and cereal in a nicely decorated room by reception. I would recommend the hotel as a clean, comfortable place to stay but definitely minimalist.
