We booked this property because it was advertised as family-friendly, and we were traveling with a large family, including two toddlers. Overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending quality time together as a family. One thing that was disappointing was that some guests on the beach were topless, which didn’t feel ideal for a family environment. We also encountered a few guests who seemed bothered by children playing and making normal noises. In my opinion, an adults-only resort may have been a better fit for those guests. Other than that, we had a great family vacation and made some wonderful memories. Just keep in mind that you’ll need a car if you want to leave the property and explore the nearby small towns.

At lunch unless you pay 45 euros for the buffet, there is only pizza or focaccia. The bars run out of even this frequently. Makes eating at lunch very difficult.

Amazing hotel, relaxing environment, staff was who checked us in wasn’t very friendly but, she did her job. I would not be on the phone while checking in a guest in front of you. Everything else was great!

The room was very old and outdated, and did not feel clean. They are definitely due for a renovation. Both pools were green and we did not want to use them at all. Staff was lovely, but we would not return.

As someone who has travelled to over 41 countries and stayed everywhere from some of the world’s finest luxury hotels, including Four Seasons, to simple three-star properties, I can confidently say that a hotel’s star rating is never what defines a great stay it’s the service. Unfortunately, my experience at Santa Pedra was one of the worst I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, I was disappointed. The property has stairs throughout, yet there was no offer of assistance with luggage, despite this being a basic level of hospitality that many hotels provide. The rooms are incredibly poorly soundproofed. Every morning I was woken by noise from surrounding rooms, and on arrival I was greeted by loud drilling and construction work taking place on the property. I had not been informed prior to my stay that these works were occurring. I was initially told it would only be for one day, however the same loud banging and disruption continued each morning. The staff carrying out the work were also extremely loud and showed little consideration for guests trying to enjoy their stay. The service throughout my stay was equally disappointing. Staff were dismissive when asked simple questions, and despite requesting an iron on four separate occasions, it was never delivered to my room. Sadly, this stay fell well below expectations. Basic rooms but with great aircon. Pool was extra large with a lovely seating area. Staff were very welcoming. Great breakfast
