The hotel is very charming. The dining area is lovely. Breakfast was good-meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, pastries. The pool was nice. The rooms definitely leave something to be desired. They are very plain & just a room w a bed & tv & dresser. Nothing fancy but fine. The ac works nicely. And the bathroom is small but seemed recently updated. Plenty of parking. About a 10 min walk to beach with a couple of restaurants there. Paid parking at the beach that takes card. Overall we liked it and would stay again.

Nice hotel, but not great. As an experienced traveler I wasn’t happy having to carry luggage up around 20 marble steps to get to the reception desk. They have plenty of space to install a ramp or a lift. The WiFi was horrible. It would connect but then you needed to authenticate with an email address or it would disconnect. It was very hit or miss on sending the authentication email. Tried multiple phones, devices and emails. I got lucky with connecting 1 phone. The hotel was clean, but sterile. Nice breakfast in the morning, but the hotel offered no other services. The reception staff were very nice, efficient and friendly. I would put it in the Same class as Holiday Inns in the US. It probably was very nice back in the day, but has not kept up with changing times.

The hotel doesn’t have a drop off area or any luggage trolleys, pity the receptionist was curt, abrupt, non informative and dismissive. The hotel appears old and struggling to keep up with travellers requirements. The room was old cashing a good size and clean with aircon. The bathroom was big but the window didn’t work and was screwed open, I asked straight away for the window to be fixed and a handle put on the window as it was also missing. I was told the engineer would come but six days later nothing changed. I saw no management at all. The breakfast staff and cleaners were all delightful. The biggest problem was the pool was discoloured and cloudy and staff had put up a sign (probably weeks before) advising it was still safe to use. We and several others were not going to risk health conditions. The weather was 35 degree plus and we desperately need a pool. In the end we travelled about 15 minutes outside Castelsardo and found lovely beaches. I would recommend using a different hotel. The other reviews said about paper thin walls, this is true. Good point was the seaview and the breakfast.

Wonderful hotel ! Everything was perfect. The room was so nice with an outdoor terrace and two chaise lounges, and partial view of the water. The lobby, the pool area and the beach club were all 5 stars! The beach area is not sandy but so unique with day beds nestled between rock formations. And the sunset from there is spectacular! The breakfast was wonderful and if you don’t want a big dinner there is also a pizza restaurant on the property open late. In summary, we loved it and would come back in a heat beat !

lovely hotel room and some bedrooms at the hotel are direct onto the beach...however if you dont reserve the top room package then patio sunbeds are not allowed and sunbeds on the beach are 40 euros per couple per day!!!!...lovely pool across the road at the lower room rates but only a handful of sunbeds around the pool!...and the evening dinner menu is VERY expensive! location is quite remote for eating out. nearest and only shop/supermarket is approx 1 km walk for anything needed. ..Oh and if you order take away food from outside the hotel i.e. a pizza then the hotel will charge you a surcharge!!...we liked the hotel itself but the feeling was once you have booked this...one of the most expensive hotels in this vacinity..then they charge you high prices for any other needs

First of all, the hotel is not beach front…. It is beach access from a side street. You are given a free pass for only one day for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. After that, the daily cost is 25 euro. Staff were very kind and willing to assist in any way. The breakfast was very good but did not change day to day. It was pretty much the same every day. There is no evening night life at this hotel. No bands, music etc. Guests gather around the pool nightly for cocktails with a view of the restaurant “Ninos”. A bit uncomfortable if you’re the ones having dinner. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean with very comfortable beds but small showers. There are mini coffee makers in the room but not in the lobby and you are charged 3 euro for water in your fridge. My recommendations, rent a car, you are then free to explore the island. Stop at the supermercato for munchies and water. We bought an umbrella for 15 euro and bought a blanket. Overall a nice stay but Pittolungo is a very quiet area at night. Perfect if you’re looking for quiet downtime with no crowds or loud music.
