Copperbeech Bed and Breakfast

10/10 Excellent
fabulous . I was a bit worried as Copperbeech is on the A12 but the room is triple glazed and has a portable air con unit. Super comfy bed lovely fluffy towels with many extras - the little touches that elevate the stay. The local pub dos not serve food Tuesday and Wednesday but the menu looks good.

Was disappointed that the room was in the courtyard and not part of the main building, but it was convenient as it was near the car park and easy to access with our cases etc. We had a superior room which had a king size bed, fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Handy for your own drink (wine etc.). The carpet and paintwork was not very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.

This was an outstanding stopover for a couple of nights. A most welcoming hostess, overseeing our visit throughout. The room, although not large, was clean and well maintained, and like the rest of the property spick and span. Breakfast was outrageously generous, both in size and content. The location is very quiet and highly suited to visiting local attractions, being only 5 mins drive from Aldeburgh and 10 mins from Snape, with car parking well provided on site. Thoroughly recommended.

This is a stunning place to stay, well in keeping with the stunning surroundings that Suffolk provides. It is, to me, located in the perfect spot to explore what Suffolk has to offer. The place is clean, well decorated and in immaculate condition. I cannot fault it.
However: please note that I have not deducted a single star from my rating, but I have to add to this review that we did not feel welcomed by the owners. They may have had an off day, we all do, but to me this is reason enough to...

Really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Helpful and accommodating staff.
We used to come here when it was a pub- full of locals and guests and big roaring fire- created a great ambience which is slightly lacking now. Little cold without the log burner lit- an easy fix.

I enjoyed my short stat at The White Horse Hotel, and when coming back to Leiston I would most definitely stay here. I had an evening meal which was served piping hot and most enjoyable.

Room was lovely and spacious and was full of character. Very comfortable. Breakfast included in price was excellent and freshly made.
There was a bath but no shower. For our one night stay this was fine but would be more of an inconvenience if you’re there for longer.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best area to stay in Yoxford?
The best area to stay in Yoxford is within the village itself, particularly around the High Street.
Yoxford High Street is the heart of the village, offering a convenient base with a few local shops, pubs, and cafes. It's a pleasant, linear village with a relaxed pace, surrounded by the Suffolk countryside. The village is known for its antique shops, giving it a unique character.
Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find Yoxford ideal. It offers a chance to unwind, enjoy countryside walks, and explore independent shops. The village's central location in Suffolk also makes it excellent for day trips to coastal towns like Aldeburgh or Southwold, or to nearby RSPB Minsmere for nature enthusiasts.
When is the best time to go to Yoxford?
The best time to visit Yoxford is during the late spring, summer, or early autumn months, from May to October, when the weather is generally mild and the Suffolk countryside is at its most inviting.
These months offer the most pleasant conditions for exploring the local area, whether you're visiting the nearby beaches at Dunwich or Southwold, or enjoying walks through the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You'll find local gardens and attractions fully open, including those associated with Yoxford's 'Garden of Suffolk' nickname.
For those planning to attend local events or enjoy outdoor activities, July and August typically have the warmest weather, making them ideal for coastal trips and open-air experiences. However, these are also the busiest months.
If you prefer a quieter experience with comfortable temperatures, late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) are excellent choices.
