"Would highly recommend this hotel.warm and welcoming.staff unobtrusive and professional.hotel itself, beautiful, every thought given to making a special stay.very good food."
"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav.
The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door.
The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained.
The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

Immaculate 3 Bed 3 Bath Holiday Home in Beautiful Gardens: Grove Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Grove cottages is a lovely quality home, not just a ‘holiday cottage’. Only real downside is the narrow lanes closest to it, but that applies to much of the area. As well as parking space alongside outbuilding across the lane and a narrow slope at the side of the cottage (where the electric car charger is), there’s more private parking behind a gate at the end of the garden, just out of view of the cottage. Large well-equipped kitchen and helpful to have three toilets and showers; all had decent power. The upstairs bathroom is very spacious, though upstairs double and twin bedrooms on the small side. (But had more wardrobe hangers than usual, though we used some of our own too). Internet fine, not city super-fast, but couldn’t expect that! No pavement so anyone walking past is right next to the windows, but only a few did on our visit (June half-term). Looking out from the kitchen you look over the lane to the garden, which is great. Behind that is a strip of woodland also owned by the house; beyond/above this the land rises so you do see the backs of houses on the other side, but being higher up they’re not too close. Garden across the lane is fantastic and we saw ducks and pheasant. Lawn, pond, stream, pizza oven there, more garden with raised patio and bbq up some (narrow) steps behind the cottage. We didn’t cook outside but did use the car charging point - a little awkwardly positioned for a larger car, but do-able. Owner helpful, responsive to queries. "
"We had a great family getaway, lovely house, with a great location, homily with everything you could need. Beautiful property, would definitely stay again "
"This is a great flat. Nicely set up and with just about everything you'd need for a holiday. A good layout for keeping shoes in the hall and limit sand moving around. It was super clean and comfortable. Quiet despite being a flat in a building. Great views! One of the best we've stayed in. Good with a dog too and a short walk to good (dog friendly!) beaches as well as not far to both the Village Inn and the Beachhouse for food. Only 1 car space. Fine for us but worth noting. "
Stunning clifftop Farmhouse in Bigbury-on-Sea, cosy with spectacular sea views
10/10 Excellent
"We spent 5 days here over New Years and had the most perfect time away. The farm house was so lovely and all our needs were catered for. There were even logs provided for the log fire. The location was absolutely stunning, very good for the soul. Plenty of room for all 7 of us, and the kids enjoyed it too. Beds are comfy. Helen the host greeted us when we arrived and provided us with all the information needed. She is a great host. We would very much recommend this place and will definitely be booking up to stay again. "
