Good location but the Panda is an older hotel needs refurbishment (especially bathroom). At $100 a night I do not feel that this hotel was a good value. The hotel appeared to be geared to tour groups and budget business travelers. The best thing that I can say about the Panda is that there is a super restaurant--Shan Yar Yoe--nearby. The previous week my wife and I spent six nights at the nearby Taw Win Hotel; the rate was $50 more per night, but the Taw Win was new and EXCEPTIONALLY NICE--great staff, beautiful, spacious rooms, several very good in-hotel restaurant choices, extensive, high quality breakfast buffet. Staff here are very friendly and always ready to help. It's well located in a quiet area but close to downtown and taxis are very cheap and always available. The rooms are spacious and very clean.
