Good location but the Panda is an older hotel needs refurbishment (especially bathroom). At $100 a night I do not feel that this hotel was a good value. The hotel appeared to be geared to tour groups and budget business travelers. The best thing that I can say about the Panda is that there is a super restaurant--Shan Yar Yoe--nearby. The previous week my wife and I spent six nights at the nearby Taw Win Hotel; the rate was $50 more per night, but the Taw Win was new and EXCEPTIONALLY NICE--great staff, beautiful, spacious rooms, several very good in-hotel restaurant choices, extensive, high quality breakfast buffet. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and are geared up to answer any questions. Breakfast was fine but the coffee was fab. Staff here are very friendly and always ready to help. It's well located in a quiet area but close to downtown and taxis are very cheap and always available. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable but the pillows a bit on the big side for me.
