My room was great, with a nice river view. The location was perfect for me, with so much interesting street life nearby and within walking distance of some of the tourist spots. It’s also easy and cheap to get a Grab taxi if you’re feeling a little tired and lazy! The service at the hotel was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Friendly and pleasant staff, although some had limited English. Very good Myanmar breakfast (I didn’t try the Western options) and great view from the rooftop restaurant. I loved the location in Chinatown (close to 19th Street BBQ street food - highly recommended), but this is some distance from where most of the hotels are located. All of them were always very welcoming and made our time at the Hotel Balmi a wonderful experience. We'll definitely stay here the next time we're in Myanmar and we highly recommend this hotel as it's also a great location close to the action in downtown Yangon.
