This property is older, but good value. It's great to be on the beach. It's nice that they offer a continental breakfast. The hot tub is noisy, but it works!

I love that it’s quiet, pet friendly, affordable with a beautiful view of the ocean. Just a few footsteps away to the beach. Love that the place was well kept for an older hotel. It still has so much charm. Breakfast was included as well, that was awesome better then most chain hotels. Overall a great place to stay. The only downside to it was the beds wasn’t the most comfortable. I think it’s time for a new one. Also checking in was a bit of a hassle we waited quite awhile to get our room. I think that was partially my fault for booking last min. But overall once again everything was great including the staff. My family and I was happy.

We arrived late and had no problems with getting into our room, the staff had texted instructions. The room was clean and beautiful, right on the ocean. It was quiet, we never heard our hotel neighbors even though it looked full based on the cars in the lot. Great place - can't wait to stay there again!

The Silver Surf Motel was a great stay for us during our Oregon coast road trip. The location on the beach was beautiful and we were able to walk the beach and watch sunset. The room had a kitchenette and was very clean. The only issue we had was some hot water shortages during our stay. Regardless of that we loved our stay and would visit again!

Great location…seconds to the beach. Our room was clean, but a little run down. New paint alone would pep it up. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any of our needs. This hotel was conveniently located between multiple beaches for us to beach comb.

Since I discovered this hotel I always stay here. It's convenient to the beach, antiquing, Newport. It's the perfect place to relax and chill or check out different beaches or shop. The view is unparalleled.

Old style motel nicely decorated with a great location on the coast. Staff was great. Rooms were thoughtfully appointed. Breakfast was ok. Grounds and building exterior needs attention, especially adding steps to make the beach accessible.

Location is amazing! Windows and balcony overlooking the ocean! Cleanliness is ok, found some towels with stains. Pool and hot tub didn't have a chance to use, but it was working and ready to use. Left a good impression.

The beach is your backyard at this motel. No stairs to the ocean but is walkable down a few rocks. Given the price, I was suprised to find a full kitchen in our standard room. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was free breakfast. Staff were super friendly. In addition to cable, there was an assortment of DVDs and board games you could check out. Indoor pool was warm and a decent size. Perfect place for us & our kids to be able to explore the Oregon coast while having indoor options should the need arise. Finally, we were just a few minutes from Yachats, which was nice.

This was a hidden gem type find for me. The staff is friendly, helpful and clearly take pride in their property. The room I stayed was a studio but felt spacious and had a full-on ocean view, a small covered balcony, a kitchen with everything needed to prepare regular meal and some really nice little things like a wall outlet with usb ports next to the bed. I loved the simplicity of the decor and the comfy bed. In addition to all this the cleanliness was fantastic. This property felt more like a vacation rental than a motel. The price was excellent and I loved that it is a bit out of town with its own beach access. I will definitely stay here again and I can’t recommend it highly enough. 😊

This was our second time staying at Silver Surf. The room was clean and comfy with sweet decorations and thoughtful touches, and the staff are super nice. The proximity to the beach is amazing, as well as restaurants and shops. One thing is the walls are pretty thin (we could hear the guests next door talking, pushing buttons on the microwave, etc) so maybe keep that in mind if you need things to be quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute rooms with an ocean view.
When you pull in it's not much to think about but the room we stayed in (39) was decorated with an African style. Cute place with a fireplace, kitchen, nice bed and bedding. There was a balcony with a great ocean view. Friendly staff! The hot tub was out of order and the shower water didn't get real hot, it was hot but not hot hot. You can hear the people next door and outside. Nice little walk to the beach with a nice view either way.
