Great Stay Lovely Inn that serves excellent food

A truly lovely stay at a homely pub that was superb value for money, the staff were very helpful & friendly, will definitely visit again when in the area .

Friendly hosts, good choice menu for evening meal enjoyed with a few pints of draught beer, comfortable room and bed, followed by a full English breakfast well cooked. What more can you ask for

Absolutely loved my stay at The Duke William, the staff were super friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The room was very clean & quiet, however I don’t think it would be quiet in summer as the room (#2) overlooks the garden which is actually the beer garden. However there were other rooms that didn’t face the garden. Be warned though it’s at the top of a very steep hill, I walked from the train station, pretty hard going pulling a suitcase.

Our stay was very good. It was in the middle of the steep hill. So, was a minute walk from Lincoln castle. Around the hotel was lovely boutique shops and cafes. The a Hotel had a coffee shop that served lovely food. We would definitely return to Rest hotel. 😍

Stayed one night for business trip. The room was perfect, exactly what I needed after a long day. Staff very friendly. Even though I had to leave early I could still have breakfast (previous places I stayed had a set time for breakfast). Will definitely stay at the poplars again. Highly recommend it.

This hotel is a gem!!! It is immaculate, the rooms are exactly what you would hope for and the price was amazing. I have paid a lot more for hotels which weren't as well maintained as this one is. The staff were great and had no problem with me bringing my assistance dog in and out. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. It was in the golf club house just across the car par, which I guess could be an issue if it was raining, but I looked on it as a bonus; it helped me...

Our third stay this year. It's so convenient and the added bonus you have the Cathedral on your doorstep, the Bail, castle and many small shops

It was easy to find and there was space in the car park which was very convenient. We were given a lovely warm chocolate cookie on arrival and were able to check in by 1.30 pm which was also helpful. The upstairs bar had a small outdoor balcony with great views over the water. The choice at breakfast was excellent if a little cramped when busy as it was a help yourself. Great value stay!
