"We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!"

"8 of us came here to celebrate a joint birthday over a long weekend. The house was gorgeous, clean,spacious, beautiful surroundings and of course the amazing hot tub! Not criticism but helpful to know if you're planning a visit- take extra towels with you. They do provide towels and bathrobes but no washing machine facility, so after a hot tub dip you have to use the same towel the next morning. They provided us with a cake, loaf of bread and butter, which was great, but not many other pantry...

"Great little cottage in quiet locality, I'd say it's uber comfortable for 5 adults ( pull out bed for 6th isn't really usable other than snaffling the mattress & using in lounge... as we did). Cottage well equipped & everything clean. Local town great with nice pubs, co-op, chip shop. Short drive to great beaches. Lovely stay."

The location is fantastic for exploring Lincolnshire, we enjoyed days out at tattershall water park, jubilee park, hired bikes and rode to Horncastle on the spa trail and the beach at Anderby Creek was really nice. "The location of this immaculate property was perfect. Step out of the front door (on Steep Hill) and you are right in the centre of all the tourist attractions. The designated parking space was a must have in this historical city. There was a welcome pack waiting for us which was most appreciated. "The property was great and in a nice village. Local cafe at Manor House Farm is worth a visit as is the nearest pub Hare & Hounds. We visited Lincolnshire City centre which was lovely, the castle, cathedral and historic prison were all in walking distance once parked up in centre. We also visited a National trust Old Workhouse which was very interesting. Lots of things to do in Lincolnshire and well worth a visit."

"Annual girls trip; expectation of relaxation and fun. Upon arrival the Lodge was clean, new carpets, clean walls, new kitchen and well appointed/decorated throughout- looks can be deceiving. Preliminary walk around and checks found there was no fire alarms, fire blanket and no Welcome pack or inventory list of what to expect or where to go for emergency planning.
