Ok hotel

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Room was clean, nice staff, but smoke smell was unbearable ; had to get someone to spray the room before I could unpack.

Inexpensive so don't expect much

Posted 07-Mar-2015
The hotel is very old and outdated. Staff doesn't come close to average customer service. This is the cheapest place to stay while in Wilmington. Location is pretty good and is close to all major highways and restaurants.

Nice Hotel.

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, great free breakfast
Cons: Better tile on bathroom floor
Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only complaint was the floor in the bathroom was super slippery. Even with a towel down I almost slipped several times. Good Location and they were very accommodating to my need for late checkout

Did not get room we booked

Posted 12-Jun-2014
Pros: Location and convenient to where we needed to be the next day. The pool was open so that was nice.
Cons: Rooms are a little dated
Location: Plenty of restaurants nearby and convenient to most locations in Wilmington.
I had a great experience the first we booked the hotel through expedia. This time, we did not get the room we booked, which was a 2 room accommodation with a fold out couch for an additional bed. We had five people to accommodate. Instead we had to stay in a normal 2 twin bed room, and then pay $10.00 for a rollaway bed. Everybody survived, but it was a little irritating.

It is ok for a overnight stay, nothing special. Too old and outdated.

Noisy guests and thin walls.

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: It was clean.
I had a room near another guest who screamed profanities into his cell phone outside my room and in his own room for hours. There was lots of door banging at all hours. The door let in the outside air, which was quite cold and the heater didn't work that well.

Good Travel Stop

Posted 04-Apr-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Particularly convenient for travelers, but the Brandywine Valley of PA and DE offers a host of tourist attractions to see.
Hotel generally lives up to Best Western standards but, unfortunately, the buffet breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for a "Plus" level. Otherwise, it was conveniently located off I-95 with a number of restaurants in the area for meals.

Hotel not bad but the room was not what I expected

Posted 22-Feb-2014
Pros: Friendly staff and close to my destination.
Cons: The room I stayed in was cramped and the wallpaper was so outdated. It needs to be re-modeled if not done away with.
Location: Close to the children's hospital, that was all I cared about.
The photo online for the room I received was nothing like what I expected. I won't use Expedia to book another hotel room. I was disappointed in the space of the room and didn't like that it was outside in a courtyard. Maybe the other rooms were better than the one I got. I felt like I was stuck in the back of a boxcar with a window unit for air. Overall, I would have pick something nicer to stay in overnight.

Easy to find. Very close to A.I. duPont Hospital.

Posted 11-Jan-2014
Pros: Helpful desk staff. Free cookies and coffee when we arrived. Safe.
Location: Close to A.I. duPont Children's Hospital. Many restaurants nearby. Store for shopping nearby.
The night desk gal was welcoming and had a marvelous sense of humor. She was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and providing the items we needed (plastic forks and knives, salt & pepper). Room was convenient and clean, beds were very comfortable. The hotel is very close to A.I. duPont Children's Hospital. Hollywood Diner is next door - convenient and has good food. We have stayed there twice and would certainly return. Thumbs up!

Went to Longwood Gardens which were easy to get to

Posted 06-Dec-2013
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Loved the fact that the ice machine was set away from rooms so no noise from machine would be heard in rooms.
Location: Close enough to things I wanted to see.
