Clean, but needs help.
For our spur of the moment trip to Kansas we chose this hotel. We had made this same trip a year ago and wanted to mix it up and stay some place different, but in the same area. The rate was good and the price was good too. It is an old building in "Old Town" that had been converted to a hotel. Some time in the early 2000's it seems, especially with looking at the decor.
Here is a note to hotel folks. Remember that the real first impression is made by the desk clerk. He was not unfriendly, but not that friendly either. Quickly went through things and ready to get us on our way, even though we were the only ones checking in and there was another person there working. A nice, any questions, enjoy your stay etc. would have been nice. We did have to ask twice about the parking, which is free by the way. A good perk.
We check in in the after noon. Get settled as we had already traveled to our destination and had come back to Wichita to settle in for the evening. We then found the toilet did not work properly. We went down stairs to let them know. Because the one thing you can not do with out is a toilet. We told the guys at the front desk it was not working. The handy man happened to be there. He said he would look at while we were out getting a bite, BUT all the toilets pretty much worked like that?? No word from the guys behind the desk, "if that doesn't work let us know".
The toilet never worked. The fire alarm went off at midnite. Fire trucks came, no guidance from management??
