Very nice hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2016
The room is very clean, nice and spacious. The kitchenette was lovely with a full size fridge and even a stove. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful. The only negative was that our room was on the same side of the hotel as the bars in Old Town and it was quite loud, late in to the night. Not necessarily anything the hotel could have done to fix this- probably my fault for not realizing how close this hotel is located to those bars. Overall, it was a good experience though!

Clean, but needs help.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: This place was clean, in a good location, free covered parking, and a good price.
Cons: Customer service, decor, working plumbing.
Location: Many night spots, places to eat.
For our spur of the moment trip to Kansas we chose this hotel. We had made this same trip a year ago and wanted to mix it up and stay some place different, but in the same area. The rate was good and the price was good too. It is an old building in "Old Town" that had been converted to a hotel. Some time in the early 2000's it seems, especially with looking at the decor. Here is a note to hotel folks. Remember that the real first impression is made by the desk clerk. He was not unfriendly, but not that friendly either. Quickly went through things and ready to get us on our way, even though we were the only ones checking in and there was another person there working. A nice, any questions, enjoy your stay etc. would have been nice. We did have to ask twice about the parking, which is free by the way. A good perk. We check in in the after noon. Get settled as we had already traveled to our destination and had come back to Wichita to settle in for the evening. We then found the toilet did not work properly. We went down stairs to let them know. Because the one thing you can not do with out is a toilet. We told the guys at the front desk it was not working. The handy man happened to be there. He said he would look at while we were out getting a bite, BUT all the toilets pretty much worked like that?? No word from the guys behind the desk, "if that doesn't work let us know". The toilet never worked. The fire alarm went off at midnite. Fire trucks came, no guidance from management??

Clean, comfortable, quiet

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Location: Centrally located in old town Wichita.
The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and when I got up to look out the window, the next morning, I saw two trains going by and heard neither or anything else that evening. Very quiet.

Wonderful location and customer service!!!

We stayed two nights for our couple's getaway. This was our first time staying and we will definitely be back again. Matt was wonderful on the phone, in email and face to face once we got there. the hotel is in a great location if you're wanting plenty of food and drink choices and don't want to drive. There's also a great farmer's market right outside of your window on saturdays. There is free parking which is rare in downtown areas and the front lobby is huge and beautiful with different sitting areas, a nice water feature and a bar with live jazz music on fri and sat nights. Our room was very clean (most important!!) and for the most part very nice. We had a queen room and it only had a shower which was fine for us but some people might not like it. The bathroom was a great size. The room had a kitchenette with a 2 burner stove, sink and fridge. We used the fridge and a couple dishes so that was nice to have. It also had a table and 2 chairs for breakfast or whatever. Over this hotel was fantastic as was the customer service. If you're in the downtown area, you should definitely stay here!
