Very nice hotel , clean close to the town , room was large , breakfast was great

I had an amazing 4 day stay at the Marine Hotel. My room was very comfortable and it had an amazing view of the golf course and across the sea to the Isle of Arran in the distance. All members of staff I encountered we very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The service was first class. I'm a wheelchair user and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was ok and had everything I need. The food was excellent and the room service was too. I highly recommend...

We had a lovely stay at the Townhouse, our room was amazing and the property is on a quiet street close to the centre of Ayr and the seafront. We would happily stay again.

Only disclaimer is that this is a review about a budget-mid-price hotel. All the ravings probably don't compare to a hotel that costs £££ per night. I arranged the trip for my son's 11th Birthday and he enjoyed it so much he said the hotel should have 5 stars. My boys loved the pool, the room, the food and the chocolate milkshakes. It's a beautiful clean area by the sea, with the lovely big park and amusements. I will definitely book here again.

The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) Although the room was small it was well appointed with everything required. The owners update you re check in times and allow you into the room early if required. A great rate for a comfortable room.
