"A grand hotel from a grand age - which is now showing its age. Lovely views, good bar, breakfast was okay."

"The hotel was excellent and the location was perfect close to the centre and the beach . We had the breakfast one morning which was excellent. The staff were lovely and helpful. The pool was very good as well. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The room had basic furniture and the room was clean and was hovered every day with new towels. I was surprised one day my husband and I came back to find our pyjamas had been neatly folded and put on the bed. I missed having a hair dryer in the room and had to go out and buy a travel one. Most hotels and Premier Inns that my husband and I have stayed at supply a hairdryer. The breakfast was continental which we like. The mattress on the bed could have been a bit firmer but we managed. The staff were friendly. It was good value for money as our stay included breakfast. Also you could walk into town from the hotel."

"Overall, this wee hotel was excellent. We stayed there 3 nights with my kids. Staffs are outstanding, we had to check in after midnight. After wondering around the pub, bit worried, then call to their number and staff let us checked in. They were extremely helpful and friendly . I am not sure about customer service desk in the pub. Sometimes, bar staffs are little rude .. when hotel guest asks them for anything .. mistakenly! The hotel is in great location, lots of amenities around, lots of parking."

The Park Hotel

"I wouldn't recommend room 101 purley because it was next to some doors which bang everytime they are used. Room was spacious. Bathroom large, with powerful shower over the bath. Toilet paper was very thin! Breakfast was nice and good quality."

"Great hotel for an overnight stop to the airport. Convenient location. Comfy bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was good too, sufficient. Nice bar for an evening wine"
Portavadie

"Portavadie was a wonderful stay, It takes a while to drive there but once arrive we barely wanted to leave, and both pedestrian and car ferries (although the car ferry is often broken down) are right there. The room at the Lodge was perfect!! The restaurant including breakfast is a wonderful space, the menu choices, quality of food, and staff are all just great. The Spa is another great space, and the general views make you feel you have truly escaped. Will come again!! Thank you Portavedie."
