"The staff were welcoming from the front gate to the reception to Andy the concierge. The hotel was very clean as was the room and facilities. The hot tub was always kept at 40 degrees and was an absolute delight to use. Special shout out to Andy who gave us a great tour of the hotel and provided us with fantastic information about the hotel and locale."

"The first thing you will notice is it looks a bit dated when you walk in, but don't let that put you off because the 2nd thing you will notice is how lovely and warm the place is, kudos to the owners as we know how much the heating costs nowadays. My room was lovely, cannot complain, probably could of done with a bit of decorating but still it was nice, sleep wise it was ok, the mattress sunk a bit in the middle but not enough to stop me sleeping well. Breakfast was lovely, I had a cooled breakfast on my first morning and just cereal on my second as I was climbing helvellyn. Would I stay here again? 100% yes!! "

"Our room was in the attic, low ceilings and up 3 flights of stairs. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Many people waiting to check in at 3.00 but rooms not ready a few minutes before. Breakfast on the second day was chaotic with hot food in short supply, the serving staff worked hard obviously a kitchen problem. Wouldn’t stay again."

Free onsite parking, Spa was a real treat - open til 8pm which is fab after a day of exploring. Only negative was the coffee at breakfast was very weak but coffee machine was better! "

"We stayed in the ‘Windermere rooms at the Wateredge Inn’ as a last minute break with our pet. In our opinion the short stay ticked every box from arrival to departure. The staff were all friendly and polite. The Inn is at the edge of the lake with plenty of seating both inside and outside looking out onto the lake. Parking spaces were plentiful on arrival and offered many more spaces than others we had looked at. We dined at the Inn with our pet and food portions were adequate and met our expectations. There is a very good selection of rooms (especially if you don’t have a pet), our room was a pet friendly and was very clean and appliances were all in good condition. We will stop here again and would definitely recommend to others looking for a place to stay in this area. Thank you to the staff and management for making our experience a good one."

"Staff were lovely. Hitel nice and clean. Frw stray hairs in bathroom, but no trouble to clean up. Breakfast was fresh, pletniful and good choice. Shame i didnt get to choose where yo sit, maybe I should have asked. Sat next to a man with zero table manners. Not the hotels fault"
