Excellent place,in the middle of nowhere but easy access to town and coast. Simon the owner could not do enough for us. We took our pup and who was welcome everywhere.would definitely stay there again.

Lovely comfortable room and excellent staff. We really liked the food- dinner and breakfast were spot on.

Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year.

Arrived quite late in the evening and had a lovely welcome by the owner. Lovely small pub with plenty of character. Clean and quiet rooms and the property is in a lovely quiet area. Perfect for exploring the outdoors. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I have stayed there in last couple of mths, lovely suite we stayed in, lovely pub and good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

Manageress went out of her way to make us welcome. Room was a fair size, clean with ample storage, small fridge and a good size ensuite with bath and separate shower. Only noise you can hear is the river flowing nearby and the birds at first light. Varied menu and expect good quality and service. Cosy and warm bar. Small hotel with ample parking close by. Highly recommended and will visit again.

This B&B/restaurant is fantastic and I can not fault it at all! The rooms are spacious, clean,warm and comfortable with plenty of free tea/coffee. Andy who initially greeted me was pleasant and helpful, as I left before breakfast was served the following day he arranged for a packed breakfast to be made for me! this has not happened for me before at other hotels. Clean tidy, helpful staff, excellent food and amenities good

I have stayed here a few times now and each time has been very good. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is spot on and the evening meals are delicious. I have to have a gluten free diet and the Farthings are extremely accommodating. The Farthings is my go to hotel when in Taunton area

Graham and Annie (our hosts) were able to offer us any check time after 09.00. We actually arrived about 16.00 to be checked in immediately and shown to our room. The first night was a bit of a problem as the room overlooked the main road with a farm entrance across the road. The building is very old with thick stone walls and we needed the window open which was noisy with traffic throughout the night. Had a superb 2 night stay here with our 2 daughters & our dog. Fantastic refurb of the bar & restaurant. Excellent plentiful breakfast. Very comfortable & spotlessly clean throughout. Very friendly staff who welcomed our dog as much as they did us! Perfect location to explore Lynmouth & Lynton. Couldn't ask for better. Thank you for having us! (photo is view from our room)

Amazing property, well thought out and furnished with excellent views. Staff were excellent too and you had a really nice lemon cake to share. Only downside was the main spa in the pictures was not included and was an extra £35 per hour, per person and we were told we needed to book 2 weeks in advance! There is a hot tub and sauna in the garden which is nice.

The friendly welcome and breakfast is why we return again again
