The hotel is based in a beautiful villa on the moat just outside the city centre of Middelburg, a lovely location to spend a few days in. There is ample private parking, and our room, in the new extension, was tastefully decorated and well equipped. The spacious bathroom had a bath and shower. The continental breakfast buffet was excellent. We would have liked an outside light to enjoy the patio in the evening and the switch for the central light was in the corridor. Lovely place!

Very cool place, a hotel in the old building of the sailors' school. The building breathes nautical history, yet it has all the modern elements you'd expect from a hotel. We loved this place !

Lovely clean hotel & rooms. Booked a 2-bed apartment, which had all the amenities you could need with relaxing lounge area. Breakfast had both hot & cold options extra touches of alternative milk options & multiple juice options. Would definitely return.

Only down side was the bed - should have been kingsize but was two singles

Very central location and very friendly and helpful staff.

From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly The boy on reception was very good ftom the booking in to information that we needed. First evening we ate in the restaurant, all the staff were excellent, the food was very good, and i would say reasonably priced. Following morning we went for breakfast, the buffet was plentiful with good choices. We had to wait a moment for a table but the ladies soon had one emptied and cleaned. Definitely look to visit in the future.

This is a gem! Fantastic value for money as far as I am concerned. Beautiful room, great restaurant menu and on Saturday they have a DJ liven up their cocktail bar. Free parking on sundays, easy parking in the near vincinity. They welcome pets for a reasonable fee and the staff was super welcoming. They have recently opened and are super aware of some minor issues, but they adrewsed them perfectly. I also found out that De Bij, in the past, was called De Mug, which was my elderly mum’s favorite...

The property is ideally located for exploring North Zeeland by bike, which can be hired via the campsite at a veery good rate. Peaceful and well-maintained setting with lots of animals to watch and feed. The apartment is clean and functional.

Room was lovely, quiet and super clean. Bed was very comfortable. It was difficult to warm the room but I managed in the end.
