Hotel @ Domburg
Domburg is one of the oldest seaside resorts in the Netherlands and was a beloved by painter Piet Mondriaan, who frequently featured it in his works. Every summer, the annual Ring Riding Festival draws in the crowds: a traditional folkloric events that requires participants to collect rings using a lance while riding a horse.
Stay Close to the Beach
Most of Domburg’s hotels are located close to the beach, so wherever you stay your hotel it is only a short walk from the seafront. Wide and sandy with characteristic groynes, quaint beach houses, it’s well-known for its cleanliness and safety. Why not rent yourself a parasol and a sunbed, buy a delicious ice cream from one of the beach pavilions, crack out the Kindle and just relax for the day.
Be sure to check out the beach’s top attractions, including the Bathing Pavilion, Castle Westhove and the Water Tower.
Located directly behind the beaches sand dunes is the picturesque village. Shop in one of the small boutiques that line Ooststraat, enjoy a nice drink in one of the pubs or grand cafés and enjoy a good meal in the evening.
