Nice quiet hotel close to everything

Posted 05-May-2016
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean, good staff, kitchenette, free parking, close to everything but on side street.
Cons: Some updating of lobby
Location: Parliament buildings, museums, restaurants, walk along the bay, convention centre.
The beds are very comfortable, the hotel is quiet, free parking and breakfast, close to everything. Would return to this hotel

Great hotel that was close to many attractions

Posted 29-Apr-2016
Pros: The locations was superb, the room clean and updated, and the breakfast was delicious!
Location: It had a super location as it was across the street to the Government building, a few blocks to the harbour and a 15 minute walk to Fisherman Wharf.
We had a pleasant stay and would return if in Victoria again.

The location in Victoria couldn't be any better! There was a small mix up with our Visa card that has been efficiently resolved. So, no problem.

Very clean. Staff at breakfast could ask people to use new plates/bowl/cuttlery when making a second trip to the buffet.

Okay except for A/C

Nice hotel - would have given it a 4 except the room was very warm when we checked in and never did cool off enough for us.

Pros: The beds were comfortable, it is within walking distance to everything, and the full hot breakfast was great.
Cons: The property is outdated and needs some updates. When we first walked up to the front desk we weren't greeted right away. Rooms aren't too clean.
I was surprised out outdated the hotel building was. The carpets in the halls were very stained and dirty. The front desk didn't greet us right away when we walked up to the desk, but then they were helpful. The wifi was good. The rooms need to be cleaner. More attention to the little things. The beds were comfy. The shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was great with helpful kitchen staff. It was close to walk to everything so that was a plus. I would stay again, but not for more than a couple of nights at the most.

Perfect Location

Posted 04-Apr-2016
Pros: Location, cleanliness, free parking, free breakfast and free wifi.
Cons: Update the bathrooms.
Location: Visit the Royal BC Museum and combine it with an Imax visit. Beacon Hill Park was blooming and serene. Explore downtown Victoria.
The hotel is well situated next to the Parliament Buildings and Inner Harbour. Breakfast is terrific and plentiful. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms could do with an update, but were totally functional and very clean. We lacked for nothing and enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend the Embassy Inn and I look forward to staying here again.
