Great hotel and excellent staff!
The hotel could not be closer to the beach, restaurants and the port. The staff are super friendly and most helpful. Breakfast is excellent, great selection to choose from, always plenty of fresh fruits and pastries, and the cappuccino is super good. The bathroom was very clean, proper shower power, modern toilet and bidet, functioning hair drier etc. Because we stayed 12 nights, we had many clothes and it would have been a bit more comfortable to have a bigger wardrobe in the room. Thanks to regular and thorough housekeeping we always had fresh towels and good supply of toiletries. I definitely recommend this hotel, and we also hope to return next summer.

Great stay
We had a lovely time in Viareggio. It's located less than a 10min walk to the train station and less than 3mins to the beach. There is a lovely walkway that goes on for Kms.

Check which room!
Cute building, we were in an attic style room that only 2/3 of the room had head clearance...and I'm 5ft tall. No windows and for the price it was a little disappointing. The service was great and breakfast was nice, just beware of what we were told was economy room- when we arrived.

Dear Guest, thank you for your opinion but you have been assigned the economy attic room exactly the one you booked and before booking and on your booking confirmation there are all the details of the room, precise information and photos ..... just like the one you have posted. The only difference from the photo is the one on the booking site is clean and ready to welcome guests. As for the price there are even more expensive rooms such as standard or with balcony but obviously the lower price has distracted you from everything else. Thank you and good day

Great location, walkable from train station and close to the beach. Very clean, friendly service, nice breakfast. Good value. Would stay here again. Suggestion to upgrade the bedding with white duvet covers.

The property is well maintained and well presented. Located close to the sea front and a short walk to shops and the train station. The only thing missing was facility to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room.

Pleasant hotel, close to the beach.
Conveniently located hotel, with suitable facilities for a short stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful, giving recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Wifi was available throughout the hotel, and reception was mostly fine. We had a triple room with a lovely little balcony with side views to the sea, which was a treat. The hotel provided beach towels daily, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was varied, with hot and cold options, and provided a good start to the day.

Staff on reception were exceptional. Very helpful and informative. Best breakfasts ever. The selection of fresh fruit was unbelievable,together with great range of other foods.

Check-in was quick, easy parking on street, great beach access. The room is a bit small, but had a balcony with a view of the sea. Bathroom is modern and edgy. The only negative is that the TV was small.

This hotel fulfilled our needs - clean, tidy, well-located for the middle of the town. Parking was a little bit of a hassle - trying to find a spot on the nearby streets then walking to the hotel - but that is really only a minor gripe.

This hotel offered very good basic accommodation. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. A comprehensive choice was on offer for breakfast. Professional and experienced staff, with a high standard of english spoken. Would have benefited if the hotel offered the client the choice of beverage making facilities in the bedroom. The railway station is situated about fifteen minutes away, which proves useful for excursions to Pisa, Lucca, Florence and the more local resorts. Mid-market shopping boutiques proximal, good restaurants, cafes and bars and also local cinemas

Fantastic hotel near the beach.
Hotel Tirrenia is a fantastic hotel right near the beach. We stayed for 2 nights in a 3 bed room. It was clean and a good size with wardrobe, small safe, free wifi and gorgeous bathroom. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

A nice little hotel, well priced - clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. I arrived in the early hours of the morning and nothing was too much trouble, the staff even opening the restaurant a few minutes early so that I could get breakfast before I went to an early appointment.

Viareggio - off season -
We stayed in Viareggio for personal reasons. Seaside towns in February not always great holiday destinations. However the hotel was perfect and the town still had some good bars and small restaurants despite off season. It is also a good base to explore Tuscany. Train links very easy to Pisa, Lucca and Florence.

Lovely welcome from the owner when we arrived. Handy for the station and one block from the promenade and beach. The rooms and communal areas were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. Excellent shower too! Nicely presented buffet breakfast in the mornings with warm croissants and a hot selection too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the lovely resort of Viareggio.

A Gem of a Hotel
2nd stay in this hotel. Excellent location, fabulous breakfast, friendly and helpful owner and staff. Sizes of rooms can vary but all comfortable and great value for money. Excellent restaurants, shops, markets and caffe/bars all within 5 minute walk. Will visit again.

Nice Breakfast, one block form the promenade and beach, discounts at the beach, modern new rooms and we got a nice balcony facing the street (paid extra for it) . only complaint was they didn't replace the toiletries. we stayed 4 nights.

Great family run establishment close to the beach
Great service is provided by the family that runs this establishment. They helped us with all our needs from the time we arrived to accommodating a late departure so we could enjoy one more day at the beach. The property is one block away from the beach front and promenade with all the retail shops and restaurants. The property is clean. Nicely remolded bathrooms. The breakfast was very good and included scrambled eggs and fresh fruit every morning (not something you find in many European hotels). Dinner reservations, recommendations for local events, help with parking and wine selections were all a part of the services personally arranged by the hotel staff/ owners. It was a great place to stay one block off the beach in Viareggio.

Viareggio is a fantastic beach resort and this is the hotel to pick.family run, immaculate and newly refurbished. The owners were totally charming and it makes a change to find a 3 star hotel in Europe that deserves more. Best breakfast we had in any of the hotels on our tour with wide selection and beautiful fresh fruit. Look no further! We will be back.

This is our 2nd stay at Hotel Tirrenia. We were very happy both times. It's not often that you get to meet the hotel owner, a genial, friendly man and his wife. And his son, Luca, was very kind to us and arranged a special tour we wanted. Can't say enough good things about Hotel Tirrenia. We will stay there again if we go to Viareggio.
