The chalet, recently renovated with authentic taste, is on two levels. On the ground floor is the rustic kitchen, complete with everything, with large solid wood dining table, sofa, TV and wood stove. On the second floor, which is accessed via a magnificent stone staircase, there is a modern bathroom with shower, and the bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The heart of the living is represented by the magnificent covered veranda, equipped with all comforts. It was totally worth the steep drive up the mountain to get there. Melissa was a wonderful host and cares deeply for her property and guests. The view from the terrace is stunning and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside looking down on Lago di Como. Inside, the chalet was very homely and we found everything needed in the house. Even on colder days the chalet creates an pleasant atmosphere when sitting at the fireplace. Melissas son guided us the way up to the location at top of the hills of Vercana, we were very greatful for that. All in all it was a relaxing holiday full of great impressions in contact with nature and animals. We hope that we can visit chalet Melissa once again & thanks to Melissa and family. ##### Julian W. Die Kommunikation mit Melissa ist sehr unkompliziert. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet und es gibt sehr viele Zutaten. Aber...Es gibt zwei Räumlichkeiten die vermietet werden. Und die zweite entspricht nicht der, die wir laut Inserat gebucht und bezahlt haben. Man muss eine Leiter im Badezimmer hoch ins Schlafzimmer. Keine Steintreppe. Für alte oder eingeschränkte Menschen sehr problematisch. Es ist alles sehr klein, eng und oben niedrig. Es gibt keinen überdachten Außenbereich bei unserer Räumlichkeit. Bei Hitze oder Regen also eine extrem Einschränkungen und nicht den Fotos und der Beschreibung entsprechend.Die Beschreibung muss geändert werden, sonst ist das Betrug. Es gibt auch kein WLAN oder einen Grill. Zudem ist es sehr wichtig zu wissen, das vom nächsten Einkaufsladen bis zur Ferienunterkunft 25min heftige Serpentinen Strecke liegt. Dann ein sehr sehr kleiner Parkplatz und 10min Fußmarsch auf 1000m Höhe. Die Unterkunft befindet sich inmitten von ca. 20 anderen Häusern mit sehr netten und kommunikativen Italienern. Es gibt viel Party und viele Hunde. Wir fanden das super, aber man ist hier absolut nicht alleine und es gibt auch keine Stille. Wie gesagt, ein ganz toller Ort, aber das was Melissa beschreibt entspricht nicht den Gegebenheiten und muss geändert werden. Wenn FeWo das nicht reguliert, empfehlen wir sehr genau nachzufragen in welchem Teil der Ferienhäuser man landet. ##### Sascha U. The cottage is located on top of the hill behind Vercana so you begin by meeting at Melissa’s place in town and she escorts you up the hill the first time. The view is simply stunning. The accommodation was clean and very well equipped. Modern bathroom, comfortable bed and plenty of space. Note that it is a windy road up the hill so bring supplies when you arrive as it takes about 20 min to get to the shops. We also had an unfortunate incident with our hire car, Melissa and her family were amazing helpful in getting us out of trouble and continuing our journey. Fantastic people. ##### Mark B.
