They Passed a Wide Corridor Off As An Apartment
We paid top price for an apartment advertised as 35 sq. metres and a balcony with city views. It was 3 metres wide and just over 8 metres long. There was approx 300mm space between the bed and wardrobes. The en-suite was shoe horned in to a space resembling a broom cupboard. The kitchenette / living room area was adequate for two but that was it. The pool on the roof is an oversized bath We bared with it for the first night as we had nowhere else to go and it was late afternoon on a Sunday when we arrived. Paul, the guy that picked us up from the airport was a dream but Monica had her back up with us before we came down to reception the next morning and her initial response was we had got what we paid for. We stood our ground and were offered a bigger apartment after a time but as the initial response so negative we cut our loses and insisted on paying for the one night and finding somewhere else. Its a real pity as the location is very central for Valletta. We really wanted an apartment so it would have a bit of space for down time and that is exactly how the apartment was advertised. In the end, we spent 30 mins on the internet and got a 5 star hotel in Sliema for the same money Room Tip: Best check with the hotel direct regards what size of flat is actually being booked.
