Such a pleasant suprise, a beautiful hotel with clean rooms. Slightly dated but in condition. Gorgeous views and very friendly staff. There is also a lovely spa. Within a good distance from Lake windemere, ambleside and bowness walks (about 30 minutes). This is a beautiful and well priced spot for the south lake district exploring, highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay recently for a wedding, hosts were more than welcoming, comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. Thank you for being great hosts! We will be booking again for our next trip to the lakes.

Nice accommodation in a quiet location

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc) The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool. Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can.
