"This is a decent property in a good location with easy parking on-site. But beware: it has almost no internet access and not great mobile reception either. Thick stone walls and facing the harbour means it lacks line-of-site to mobile towers. My modern phone worked, but data speeds were poor inside the apartment. The provided "wifi" consists of a dinky 4G hotspot which sometimes worked ar 1990s speeds: kilobits/sec. But mostly it didn't work at all. No other complaints, but lack of internet...

"Lovely stay gorgeous little chalet. Is small but great use of space and everything you need is inside.Was clean and tidy however a little tired and could have done with a good dust. But didn't spoil the stay. Also mattress could do with replacing.Loved the history of our chalet and the site is really lovely. Great area easy walk to the beach and into Hayle.Each chalet was unique and plenty of space in between, very friendly.Would definitely return beaches are absolutely incredible."

"Used this triple room (3 adults) with one king size bed and one single bed for a one night stay until we could check into our Air B&B. Comfy beds and good night's sleep. Considering it was a Friday night we had no disturbance. Car parking in dire easily accessible. Our room was up stairs, which was fine for us. One small gripe... The bathroom was miniscule! OK for one night but you wouldn't want much longer using it. All in all, good value for the price we paid. Thank you."

"Lovely hotel with restaurant downstairs, useful for bed and breakfast and getting dinner in the evening. Nice staff, had a nice sized room. Lovely sea views from front of property. Easy access by walking 10 minutes or less by car to Penzance train station and the town. Great if you want to explore the area, st Ives 25 mins by train and st Michael’s Mount 3 miles are nearby with great transport links by bus and train."

"Beautiful property, great location and staff provided an excellent standard of service. The WhatsApp connection to concierge works brilliantly and saves a lot of hassle, too. I’m not sure that the Grandhomes (apartments physically disconnected from the hotel building) represent good value, though. I would look first towards a room in the main hotel building. Also, beware of lots of additional charges for meals and hotel services. I found this particularly disappointing considering the price point."

"3/5 – Decent stay, but tight on space Overall an okay experience. The room was quite small for two people on a week-long trip — storage was limited and we genuinely struggled to find space to open and access our suitcases properly. It's also not a modern hotel, though that's probably fairly typical for the area. There's also no lift, which made carrying heavy luggage up to the room a real struggle. The hotel is right next to a main road, so it was noisy even with the windows closed. On the plus side, the staff were helpful throughout, and the chef was friendly and made a nice impression. The location is a real strength — easy access to both bus and train, so getting around Penzance and beyond was convenient. Given the price we paid, though, it didn't quite feel like it matched the value — for the cost, I'd have expected a bit more in terms of room size and amenities."
