Good sized room and excellent shower, floor a little creaky and bed slightly hard but to be expected in a property of this age. No evening meals unfortunately but plenty of local food options nearby. A little bit of noise in the morning from the coaches running their engines first thing, not excessive. Overall very happy with our stay at Laguna, nice old fashioned style hotel with plenty of character and good value "

"We had an overnight stay before boarding our ship the next day. Parking for me was great and complimentary but I do think there is a charge normally. At reception we were met and our cases were taken care of by the porters, receptionists x 3 were at hand for booking in. We had booked a standard room So I asked if we could upgrade and was given a superior room with balcony and views of the Solent and cheap as chips. Our cases were in the room as we got there No struggle. The bed was a king size and bathroom had bath and separate shower. My only criticism, the step up to the shower was too high for me. Dinner was at Marco Pierre White restaurant and was excellent and at a reasonable price. Our sleep was long and uninterrupted (bliss). Morning coffee provided. Our breakfast experience was one of the best we have had in Southampton say no more. Would we stay here again? Mmmmmm. You bet your life we would. Well Done!! Ken & Jill Haycock. "

"The number one thing about this property is the staff! They are helpful, compassionate and so professional. This is the best place to stay before cruising out of Southampton. As you can imagine, they are constantly dealing with people who want to check in early after an overnight international flight, or who want to check out late because they can’t board their ship until after noon. They handle it all so well. Dining room was excellent and location allowed for quick walk to High Street and the historic walls. The property is beautifully renovated and very comfortable. "
