I think this is the only hotel that offers a double option. My partner and I had approached this with some small degree of trepidation but in the end the whole experience was quite delightful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the system isn't hard to understand. It's certainly not without it's inconveniences, such as having your luggage in the foyer and bathrooms on different floors, but it really is a quintessential Japan experience and highly recommended for a night. Pyjamas, towels and slippers are provided. Additionally we enjoyed a decent Indian meal in a restaurant on the way from the metro station, followed by a drink at a bar outside the mall across the street, and then watched Deadpool 2 in an almost empty iMAX cinema in the same mall. Sleeping was comfortable and cosy, though obviously not for the claustrophobic.
