"Bare with me, this may start off poorly, but it gets better. Initially, when we arrived at the property, we felt disappointed. The outside of the property looks really run-down. Scaffolding, dirty white paint. Just tired and old. Like a neglected school. However, once inside things improve, massively. I found it warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything looks in a good statenof repair etc. The room we stayed in was large with a lovely bath and a sea view. Bed was overly firm, but everything else was lovely. No snacks in the room, there was cold milk and water in the fridge. The bar area is nice. Lots of seating, free pool table, good selection of drinks and an outside area. The spa was lovely (have to book between 10am and 6pm) with large hot tub, seating, sauna, steam room and a hammam (recommend). Decent size swimming pool also available. Good location for the coast path, Mawgan Porth is lovely, though not much in the way of shops. Continental breakfast was epically good. Lots of choice, amazing baked goods, made on site and good coffee. If you want a cooked breakfast as well, its £8. Didn't have myself, but looked amazing. Did eat in what i think is The Wild Café. Prices are not cheap, but i suppose thats pretty standard for a hotel restaurant. Burger and chips is £24, as is wild mushroom risotto. "The welcome was amazing, the hotel is the home of the owner who makes a point of greeting his guests. It is a Victorian building of immense character in a stunning position on top of a headland and next to Tintagel Castle. The views are incredible. The room was spacious and comfortable with open sea views. The dining room is majestic and the saloon is comfortable victorian splender. Finally the staff were simply excellent. We had a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!"

"Great hotel and stay at the Port Gaverne Hotel Our room faced the sea and the bed was super comfy. Great facilities tea and coffee with fresh milk, and the dry robes were a lovely touch. We ate breakfast each morning of our 4 night stay and 2 evening meals Great food and drinks We were able to walk into Port Gaverne which only took around 10/15 minutes We would 100% return Great staff and very friendly "

"This hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance to Tintagel Castle (Gallos Statue & Merlin's Cave). The hotel experience was great; I received a warm welcome when I checked in at the restaurant/pub up front and they walked me to my room. The room was large and impeccably clean. The bathroom was not in or directly attached to the room, but it was my use only and they provided robes for traversing the 3 feet of hallway between doors. The restaurant/pub had a vast assortment of beers on tap. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast there (included with the room)."

"The accommodation was lovey it was spotless and had everything we needed , we had a three bedroom three bathroom barn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restrauant was nice and the food we had was lovely."
