"On the plus side, the property was clean, the communication excellent, and the free parking a bonus. The location is great during the day, close to shops, the pier and restaurants but a big negative is at night the noise was unbearable. Drunken revelers in the streets every single night and none of us could get a good night's sleep. Also, the mattresses were too soft, the pillows flimsy, and only one towel per person. "

Malmaison Brighton

"We really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at the Japanese restaurant and drinks in the bar, both of which were good. The facilities in our room were very good. However, I did notice that the decorative cushion on the bed was rather dirty and marked. We enjoyed having use of the shared outside terrace but felt that the outside of the property was in need of refurbishment."

"Excellent helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and air conditioning made the stay very pleasant. Convenient location. Two negatives - food quality in the restaurant was low for a 4 star hotel (I tried the burger). Outdoor seating could be made nicer. Currently feels like a smoking zone. Nothing pleasant about sitting there."

We come every month here. We give him the next stay date days . For car parking he sorted it out straight away. Top man"

"The hotel was very conveniently located in the North Laines area of Brighton, a block away from the Royal Pavilion and 10 minutes walk from the railway station. It is a large modern hotel, the room was spacious , the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchenette was excellent. The room was air conditioned, great during the heat wave, and wifi worked fine. All this said, this hotel chain seems to pride itself on using digital technologies and apps, and not having a reception. The checking in process was awful, requiring me to do an on-line check in and for info on two persons including photographic ID even though I was travelling solo. I tried calling the emergency helpline several times but it was never answered. Fortunately, there was a person at the entrance area when I arrived who was very helpful and resolved all my arrival issues, though only works approx 9-5pm. I would have had problems if checking in during the evening. I never figured out the App and never knew how to use the remote for the TV."

"Stayed in premium sea view room was big and spacious, great views, would of liked a fridge just had a cooler, water available but on a hot day would be best if it was cold, robes and slippers available as well as hair dryer and iron and board, they have their own shampoo and conditioners and body wash, only thing would be the sink in bathroom doesn’t seem to drain well it’s slow and it doesn’t get rid of debris"
