Bargain with local vendors over prices to get fantastic deals for souvenirs and gifts. The most popular part of the market is the D’Talipapa area, where you can find all types of seafood. Try local delicacies, including butter-garlic items. The section has many stalls serving enormous shrimp, scallops and oysters. Choose from fresh lobster, clams and other aquatic creatures. Dine at one of the many fast-food options here. The market also holds cooking service huts that will make a meal out of your seafood purchases. Purchase T-shirts, sarongs and bags among the many items with logos and images of Boracay Island. Prices are generally lower than in the stalls on White Beach. Browse the magnets, wooden handicrafts and jewellery made from shells. The third part of the market is more traditional, containing fish, meat and vegetables. Buy utensils for the kitchen. The most typical items here include handmade soaps and fruits, such as dried mangoes and banana chips. Sip from coconuts and admire the range of innovative coconut-based products. Note that a lack of drainage leads to flooding on rainy days, which are common in the monsoon season that runs from June through October. The name of the bazaar is Filipino for “Wet Market.” The seafood area is particularly busy during meal times in the market, which opens daily from morning until evening. Talipapa Market stands a little inland, between Station 1 and Station 2 on Boracay Island. It is in a fairly busy area just off the main central highway. Get around the area on foot. (514 reviews) I loved it. Compared to the madness of Stations 1,2,3 - this is an oasis of calm! Sure, it's isolated and you need to use the brilliant shuttle service offered by the hotel. But then you'll get a fantastic swimming pool, where you can do serious swimming. A great bar, serving breakfast and well priced meals and drinks. Wonderful staff. The resort is huge but only about 30 rooms open - mainly post pandemic trauma. If you want to complain about some of the obvious deficiencies, don't stay here. If you're not good with hills, ask for a low level apartment. If you want the bars, etc right on your doorstep, don't stay here. Don’t forget, Boracay receives 2.3 million visitors a year. This place lets you escape the madness and the masses. I felt really quite smug that on numerous occasions, I had the pool and the bar to myself. To summarise. It's not a luxury resort in the literal sense but for me, it offered everything I wanted - and more -as a slightly decrepit male, old, solo traveller. Finally, great aircon, good WiFi in bar and pool area - sporadic in the room but I managed.Great value and for me, made my trip to Boracay. (6 reviews) We had an amazing time at Oseidon Hotel. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Everyone was super accommodating to our needs. They went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy. The breakfast was good, lots of variety to choose from, there were no fruit on the menu, but they went out and got what we were looking for to serve it at breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was very convenient, only 3 minute walk to main beach, but quiet enough at night. The pool was the perfect place to cool off after a long day at the beach! The receptionist Reymark and all the other staff were so kind! Would highly recommend staying here!
