"If you had to choose word to describe this hotel, given there were many superlatives, I would say ‘inviting.’ The aesthetics are soothing yet modern. The lobby/bakery has an intimacy. Breakfast preparation was super (choose the eggs Benedict with salmon). I also learned of sound meditation at Ryosoku-in Temple from the Surroundings section on the TV screen - a highlight of seven day stay here."

"One of the best places to stay at in Kyoto. We absolutely loved this hotel. Staff were very friendly and greeted you every time you came down from your room at any hour of the day. Check in was very easy, amenities were fantastic, free coffee, drinks and snacks from afternoon to night were very nice. The room was also bigger than expected, very clean, quiet and one of the best I have stayed in even in the states. Area is safe, neighborhood feel, but necessities were close-by as well. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel when we return to Kyoto and only stay here when back in Japan. A lot to discover in this beautiful place Kyoto."

"The hotel is nice and near the train station. They offer complimentary soft drinks and coffee starting at 10:30\. You are also given 3-1000 yen vouchers to use toward food and drinks within the hotel. There are pay washer/dryers for guests' use and an onsen. The rooms are nice with a daily complimentary bottled water per person. However, the room lacked suffient outlets to charge everyone's device. Also, nothing to hang towels on or closet space for clothes. We had to live out of our suitcases with insuffient space to store the suitcases so one was open in front of the door. "
