I usually stay near OWU. So glad I decided to stay at "Microtel." The staff was so nice. Small and personal place, close to shopping and fast food (walking distance). If you want more shopping and dining about 10 drive. Perfect location. Loved it!!!

The room was excellent. Very clean and well laid out for our comfort and convenience. Staff was courteous. The exterior is in some disrepair i.e. roof is end-of-life, landscaping was poorly maintained and we were very disappointed in the display of a torn and tangled American Flag. All of which created a poor first impression. However, We would stay again.

The phone and the heating/air unit was filthy. The mattress has a thin "cover" on it, when I pulled it back to check for bed bugs, it looked like there was blood on the mattress itself. The pool was nice. Staff was very friendly

From the moment you step in the hallway, this place is clearly not sanitary. It reeks of sewage and mold. I wiped down our room with several Lysol disinfectant wipes, of course the wipes showed tons of dirt. The lighting in the rooms is dull and limited. I tried to use the microwave and after a few seconds it tripped the breaker and turned off all the electric to the room. Our room had no soap and only one wash cloth for a double queen bed room. The breakfast looked like a few stale pieces of bread and old cereal. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door. This place is a big fat dirty NO.

The room was spacious and we loved the window area I got some reading done sitting there. there was some stains on the chairs and on the fancy thing they put at the end of the bed. The toilet paper holder just kept falling off so we had to just set the roll on the counter. The staff was very nice and got us extra pillows and towels since they only give you two of everything and we had more that that with us. The pool was very cold even with it being inside and they had no coffee with their breakfast. The location is great to where we needed to be. They have a beautiful lake behind the building. Not a 5 star visit but not a bad visit.

You will not sleep!!!!
If you want to sleep… this is not the hotel for you! Paper thin walls on every side!! People on phone next door until 1am… coughing on other side all night… stomping upstairs!! 3am slamming doors… two trips to the front desk requesting to move! No help at all! Cut short our trip at that hotel by two nights and checked in somewhere else!

Checked in at 3pm but had to wait 20 minutes for a clean room. Bathtub and bathroom sink drained very slow. Swimming pool was not open and was green.

I hardly slept because of the noise here, and it wasn't from other customers. It was the staff! Opening and closing doors all night and listening to their phones so loud we could hear them down the hall. I will not come here again!

Walking in the front door and was immediately regretting booking this hotel. Carpet had stains floor looked like they washed it with a very dirty mop, marks all over the walls. Got my key and made my way to the room and saw the same dirty floors a carpet in the stairwell (no elevator), but was a little surprised to see the room was better in the cleaning level. Went to heat my coffee in the microwave and it knocked out the room power. Had to go get that reset and English is not the first language of the owners.

The staff was fairly friendly, super clean front lobby, and even smelled very clean. The young man at the front desk was very courteous and helpful. Outside and doorways were in need of some cleaning maintenance. The pool was pretty disappointing, found bugs floating in the water and made kids get out, and wasn't didn't realize till a few min in the water wasn't full. The room was pretty clean and did not have a foul smell at all, hated that the TV had a big stripe across the bottom and the channels you could get were very minimal, but room quality was decent. Breakfast was a typical grab and go, nothing all that great, fine for that but if you are looking for a hot breakfast this isn't it, but decent quality for grab and go style.
