The property is located in the old town of Istanbul and is walking distance from the major sites of Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. The hotel has undergone a recent refurb and is the only hotel on the stretch to have a swimming pool and sauna facilities. Very central for tourist sites. Very helpful friendly staff but not fawning or pushy.
Room and hotel very new and clean. Good breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere.
Perfect for tourists not wanting the big expensive dressing up hotel restaurant/bar experience but still looking for something stylish and modern. Thought very good value and strongly recommend.
Booked independant Airport Shuttle Bus service through Expedia (not to do with hotel) for just over £30 and they did not turn up at airport so...

I'd gifted myself a quiet weekend visit to the Hagia Sophia, and chose to stay at the Royan Hotel due to its ratings and its proximity to the site.
The hotel made contact before I arrived offering any assistance I needed, and agreed to the request I made.
Its exceptional customer service continued as the reception staff settled me into my room - with a lovely view of the Bosphorus and the Asian side.
I didn't mind getting lost around the floors and buildings that the hotel is spread over,...

The hotel was recommended to me by two people and they were absolutely right. It is very central and less than a 5 minute walk to Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. The owner is very helpful with arranging transport to and from the airport and all your tourist visit requirements. Very comfortable rooms, quiet location and the views are incredible. Very very good spread for breakfast, with a great sea view.

This hotel is a gem: friendly staff, great service, awesome location. We stayed in the exclusive suite, which has to be one of the best rooms in the city. Absolutely stunning.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely spot on with a very short walk to the blue mosque and square. The staff were kind, hospitable and very helpful with recommendations and booking taxis to the airport. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean - comfy beds! The pool area is a real hidden gem you almost forget you are in the centre of Istanbul. Cant wait to return!

We stayed for a week as a special birthday treat, and we couldn’t have hoped for better treatment. From the front desk reception to the housekeepers to the restaurant team, everyone was friendly, welcoming and apparently committed to customer service. Our room was on a corner on the eleventh floor, so we had a great view and a lovely balcony. It was a pleasure to return to the room at the end of each day. It’s expensive, particularly as prices are charged in Euros, but worth it.

Great location, excellent service and brilliant restaurants. We stayed for four nights and had dinners in all the restaurants. Food quality (from Turkish to Japanese) is top notch. Hotel staff are always attentive and caring. In a nutshell, it is one of the best hotels we stayed in.
