"Every member of staff was so friendly, so welcoming. I felt safe. Food was great. Concierge was also great at making recommendations where to go. I was travelling solo and as a female sometimes I am cautious however it was a home away from home. Special thanks to Gamze at breakfast so attentive and recommended where to fix my broken nail. I would definitely recommend to anyone who asks where to stay in Taksim."

"Cleaning is zero, I stayed 5 days room never been cleaned. Breakfast buffet was horrible and dirty (there was hair on scrambled egg which they put on buffet). Automatically you are getting negative vibes on breakfast area."

The only issue for me is that when I checked-in they told me that I was upgraded from city view to sea view…they should have said downgraded to open rooftop club view facing my window playing very loud music from 9:30pm to 12:30 every night! Very unfortunate, bad sleep for 3 nights. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Pera Palace. The sense of history is remarkable, and from the moment you arrive, the hotel exudes timeless elegance. While some may describe it as having an “old” feel, we found it to be more of a refined, classic charm—rich in character rather than dated. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the Bosphorus. The views were truly stunning, especially at sunset and into the evening, when the city takes on a magical atmosphere. The Orient Bar is an absolute must, and the tea room is equally exceptional—both experiences that beautifully reflect the hotel’s heritage and sophistication. Although we spent a few nights in the Sultanahmet area, we found the Pera Palace’s location on the Galata side to be far more appealing, with easy access to excellent restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Without question, this will be our hotel of choice on our next visit to Istanbul. "
