"We were given a room that having viewed others friends rooms was the worst, we had a very small room that was cold and asked for a heater and a view of a roof that was very dilapidated, not sure if we got the worse room because booked through Expedia also we had stuff left in the room from the previous guest"

"Warm welcome and checking in, excellent evening meal and breakfast. Staff were wonderful. To rate at excellent we would if the bed was better, a poor quality matress topper, hard pillows and we could feel the hard mattress. The room was a hard climb into the eaves. Will book a room on the main floor for next stay there. Buxton is a beatiful place and we only stayed for one night on this occasion."

"Very good basic room to lay your head for a night for the price. Spotlessly clean. Pastry and coffee included the next morning, parking was tricky and we had to park on the road outside. My only concern that there was a lot of noise during the night. Staff were very nice. Would say again."

"Some small issues, TV remote not working, bedside shelves wonky, no hand towel and air con not great. However the place was clean, staff friendly and has on-site parking. Overall it was reasonable for the price paid."
