The Malmaison oxford is so far one of our best stays we have had in the uk! The hotel is a stunning renovation from a prison to a hotel that my now fiance just loved. The interior is stunning and classy with such helpful staff that took our car and parked it when we arrived, making us feel like Royalty. The Junior suite was breath taking with so much space, large bed, large tv, comfy and stylish seating and a large double shower to top it off. although we didn't eat in the hotel we did visit...

A beautiful cosy, friendly hidden gem in Witney. We were greeted by a friendly face as we walked in and took in the cosy local atmosphere. Then shown to our room. I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting great things being abover a pub but the room was inviting and well sound proofed. I was very impressed. Staff were helpful when ordering a taxi to our concert and gave us a friendly welcome when we returned that evening. Would recommend !!

Property itself and the staff were excellent. Spotlessly clean, even had its own kitchen area, so more like a studio flat. Breakfast was great, and super friendly lady who manages the property and also cooks. The only very minor point that anyone could possibly mention was our bathroom floor had obviously at some time had a leak/flood and the was minor lifting of a couple of the edges of the laminate flooring, BUT nothing serious or to be concerned about. Anniversary weekend. Very nice hotel with character and good service - just what we were looking for. The room was super, the hotel serve fantastic afternoon tea and we loved the quiet library and the little sun-trap on the library terrace. Would have liked fluffy bathrobes, but can't think of anything else to improve. Be warned: - The bed was hard (which we like/prefer) but large and comfortable. Very nice hotel in a great location.

Really lovely hotel in 20min walking distance or £6 cab (Oct 2024) from centre of Oxford. Very welcoming, beautiful and clean room, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and extra touches like a fridge with some free juices and sodas, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and also toiletries bags for each of us. Highly recommend.

Just back from a few days staying at the De Vere, Sandford on Thames. Excellent hotel, comfy deluxe double, delicious breakfast with great choice of food. Helpful staff on reception suggested taking the bus, from just outside the hotel, in to Oxford. 15 mins and we were in the heart of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location and nice comfortable room!

First time visitors to Oxford, this place was ideal for two twin rooms at a sensible price for an overnight stay with what turned out to be an excellent breakfast. No question next time we visit I will be checking out availability on this place first, family enjoyed it. Easy buses every 10 mins or so into and out of the city centre. (Get the family 24h ticket, good value!)

We were attending a parents event at one of the colleges on Saturday morning, so decided to treat ourselves to a night at The Old Bank Hotel the night before to allow for dinner and a more leisurely start in the morning. The hotel has its own car park and is perfectly situated on the High Street. Our room overlooked the dreaming spires of Oxford was tastefully decorated, equipped to a high specification and extremely comfortable. Have stayed here before. Very good hotel with excellent food and nice bedrooms. Very convenient. I will stay here again if I get a good price.
