"The price was good but they fail to mention lots of stairs to climb - not good with cases. The food was terrible. I got the pepper steak and the steak was dry, the pepper sauce watery and the chips uncooked. I said the chips were like eating raw potato and they brought replacement which were just as bad."

"Had a wonderful stay at this hotel before, so decided to take my husband for a Birthday treat. Staff are always very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. It’s at a beautiful location and the hotel is stunning, food is excellent. But unfortunately, this time I had a shocking encounter, of a man letting himself into my room, luckily I was dressed and had my husband with me. The poor man looked just as shocked as we were, apologised and said that he must have the wrong room and left. I finished my phone call and then went downstairs to report it to reception, they did say they didn’t understand how it happened, but nothing else happened and I went back to reception to see if they got anymore answers for me, they just didn’t seem that bothered about it, which I find abit disturbing. I didn’t sleep well last night as I kept thinking about what could have happened ! But other than this safety issue, it is a wonderful place to stay."

"Parking on site. Check in fast and efficient. Outside area lovely, lots of beautiful flower baskets. Room good, but now in need of refurbishment as looking a little tired, bathroom also needs updating. Some black mould in shower cubicle, also the shower flexi tube needed a clean. Otherwise a lovely place and we would stay again."

"The room was spacious with a huge bed, comfy chairs and a great power shower. Staff were lovely and there was plenty of free parking. Food was not available but we knew that before booking so it wasn't a problem. There was a bar in the evening and lots of seating."

"Good value for bed & breakfast and clean room. evening meal a bit like a self service cafe but a good restaurant opposite the hotel (Miller & Carter) staff were pleasant and plenty of parking space would stay again"

"Stayed with my 2 kids for a night, found it reasonably priced and we really enjoyed a swim in the pool in the morning. Air con system was very effective so we felt cool in the room on a very hot evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the chap in the leisure club/pool. I was a bit surprised there was no mini bar / mini fridge in the room and the ice machine in the corridor was broken (and the bar had none to give out) but it was in a heatwave, so we must be reasonable! Also if there was an option for 2 single fold out beds for kids, so they can each have their own bed, that would be amazing. They are the only constructive points I can make - everything else was good!"
