"We have stayed here twice once in May and then 24 september. The rooms are deceptive. They have nice beds and beautiful bathrooms and nice fluffy towels. The continental breakfast has a good variety but sadly the English breakfast was nowhere near hot enough on both occasions. The bacon had started to go hard and the rest was tepid at best. I would stay again but would not pay £15 for breakfast unless it was sampled first to see if it was hot"

"We were upgraded to a superior suite. It was spacious, but it was tired and very basic. The bathroom was a good size, but the tile grout in the shower was very mouldy. The Murder mystery was really good and so was the meal that accompanied it. Good breakfast on both mornings."

"The hotel was easy to find but we had to pop in to ask for directions to the car park, but this was then easy to find and access. The location of the hotel is great for wandering around Stamford. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was on the small side but fine for a one night stay. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. Always good to find two chairs in a hotel room booked for two people!"
