"Nice comfortable room with good WiFi connection. Food was excellent and served quickly. The steak pie was the best I have ever had anywhere. Top marks yo the kitchen. This is my second visit here and my previous visit was just as good. Plenty of parking and very friendly staff. Hot breakfast cooked to order. The best I've ever had. Recommended. "

"We stayed for 6 days over Easter. The hotel is surrounded by countryside and a few buildings nearby yet is close to Whitehaven. The views are lovely - out to sea and across to Scotland. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were always very friendly. We ate in the hotel most nights, enjoying the well-presented tasty food. My food intolerances were well taken care of. The Rosehill Theatre is not far away and we enjoyed our visit there. The garden is going to be landscaped so wasn't very inviting; the hotel is in process of refurbishment although we weren't inconvenienced by any ongoing work. We felt very relaxed staying there. It was convenient for days out walking and sightseeing."
