"When we looked for accommodation for our first visit to Tunisia we decided to stay in a Dar rather than an impersonal big hotel. Dar Antonia met all our expectations. Located on the edge of the Sousse medina it was ideally placed for exploring the medina but also close enough to the sea front for short walks there. The room was roomy and well furnished. Breakfasts were superb with fruit, bread, pancakes, eggs and unlimited coffee. The roof-top restaurants had some really nice choices - and...

"Room was ok- clean.
BUT there was a door between 2 rooms and it was halv locked BUT it felt like those people are in our room. They screamed and talked with high voice until morning.you could hear literally EVERYTHING. The isolation of the balcony was also very bad. They had a club right in front and they had so high music until 3 in the morning..closing the balcony door didnt do it since you couldnt close the door really. Very poor quality.Tho, the view over the sea is nice to have!

We stayed here for nine nights in February and really enjoyed it. We were fortunate to get the Alyssa suite which was marvellous. It was spacious, comfortable and cosy. As previous guests have pointed out the breakfast was fantastic, we had something different every day. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. We did a couple of their tours which were very well organised with good vehicles and drivers.
We highly recommend Dar Benti.

Really calm atmosphere, the buffet food was a good surprise as it was always fresh with a lot of choice and many healthy options. The staff were amazing, really polite and friendly, you could tell they cared about the hotel and it's success.
The grounds are immaculate, and the hotel is really clean with lovely toilets!

For Tunisia, Sousse, this is as good as it gets. Lovely hotel, nice varied food and great staff; especially Jamal and Karim (at the main bar) and Moncif (in the buffet restaurant) and the animator Amine (absolutely fantastic staff!).
Rooms are lovely and clean, however depending on the time of year (I've stayed a few times) you get a lot of pensioners, so the hotel is quite dead in the winter months, but you'd get that everywhere in Sousse. Overall it's the best hotel in Sousse, better than...

Warning to Muslim women who cover up and want to use the pools, they will not let you in the pool wearing a burkini or your head covered. Looks like they are following the same rules as their former colonial masters the French. We had problems my wife was asked to leave the pool and she refused asking them to call the police and then 3 managers turned up and she still refused to come out. I saw them refuse other Muslim women refuse entry to the inside pool whilst being covered with swimwear.

Our stay at the hotel was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were wonderful and kind, and the beach was beautiful. We loved our holiday so much that we decided to buy new return tickets and extended our original 11-night stay by another 4 nights. That says it all!

Excellent food, friendly attentive service, very comfortable room with wonderful sea views. 10 minute easy walk to Port El Kantaui so ideal position. The indoor pool is great (saltwater pool) and spa treatment was good. You'd have to be super picky to find fault with this hotel, we'll definitely stay again, thank you to all the staff!
