The food is amazing. We are vegetarian/vegan and the hotel has dishes clearly labelled. The hotel itself is very clean and luxurious, and our room was comfortable and spacious. The gardens are immaculately kept. Service is excellent from all the staff. We used the indoor pool before breakfast as it was very quiet, the outdoor pool was too cold at this time of year. The hotel has a pleasant beach but due to the weather we were unable to use it. To get to Sousse we used Bolt which cost 12 or 13 dinar. We walked to the port area which took around 25 minutes partly along the quiet cycle lane along the road. This hotel is used by travel companies so even off season it is busy. Getting a seat in the restaurant sometimes was tricky, and once you have a table it's best if someone stays at it as someone tried to take our table even though we had left personal items on the chairs; we witnessed this happening with other guests. Although the bed was comfortable we both found the pillows to be lumpy and gave us neckache, they definitely need renewed. Generally though we had a great time here and highly recommend this hotel. My only annoyance was the fact that we couldn’t use the jacuzzi as apparently this facility was for people who booked for prestigious rooms! An d if we wanted we could pay extra to get one of these rooms and we could use the other facilities! Personally I don’t agree with devision of people as it shows we are not equal so it’s like separating well off people from the not so well off people! And the well off ones get to use extra facilities! And also have their own private sun bathing area away from everyone else but they can use the same pool as everyone else does! Also they had their own private restaurant away from the not so well off people, Doesn’t seem fair to devide people like this in my opinion. While the hotel’s general condition and rooms are acceptable, our overall experience was far from what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. From the moment we checked in, we noticed an unpleasant pipeline-like smell that would come and go. The towels were in very poor condition—worn out and far from the standards of a luxury hotel. One of the biggest issues we faced was the lack of consideration from the housekeeping staff. Despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign and the fact that our baby was sleeping after an early feeding, they consistently spoke loudly outside our door, even discussing why we hadn't left the room yet—as if to pressure us into leaving so they could clean. We finally went out, only to return to a room that hadn’t been touched. When they eventually came, I requested only fresh towels, but they insisted on cleaning the room, forcing us out again. Yet, even after that, the glasses were not replaced and the bed sheets remained unchanged, despite our request. The most distressing part of our stay, however, was my severe illness. I contracted a gastrointestinal infection after eating at the hotel. I suffered from diarrhea, nausea, and had to visit the doctor twice. We had to leave the hotel for 24 hours due to my condition.
