Perfectly located hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: Breakfast was the best I've ever seen - loads of choices - and the Maitre D was excellent. Very nice pool area and doesn't get too crowded.
Cons: The bed and pillows were very firm and linen not comfortable. Prices for drinks on the high side.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and shops all within a few minutes walk - but hotel still nice and quiet. Harbour nearby for boat trips.
Had a lovely stay in this hotel which is on the coastline and right in the heart of Sorrento.

I'll be back

Great location, great staff, clean, brilliant pool, good breakfast, comfy beds. Lift to the sea but facilities there cost a fair bit (not part of the hotel). Rooms can be noisy but unless you are super sensitive don't let that put you off. Wonderful 10 day stay.

Hotel of little surprises

Posted 13-Aug-2016
Pros: Convenient location Well appointed, clean and comfortable rooms. Freindly knowledgeable staff that speak English well. Breakfast.
Cons: Gym equipment. Walls are a little thin. Although it's one of those places where guests are cognisant of this and behave accordingly.
Location: Location ideal. Would recommend a trip to Vesuvius, Herculaneum, Ravello nr Amalfi, Positano. Beach is quite pleasant and you get free access.
Staying at the Hotel Continental was a very pleasant experience indeed. The Hotel is in an very convenient location - 10 mins leisurely walk to the Marina Village, a lift that takes you straight to the beach, 5 mins to the main centre and 15 mins walk to Sorrento's main station. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with two sets of servicing each day. We stayed in standard double/twin with balcony and sea view,. and the size of it was fine. You get a really well appointed bathroom and there are some neat features like automated shutters to block out the light, and good aircon. Staff are freindly and quite attentative. Most speak English well and are happy to have a little chat. Sorrento itself is quiet lively, with a good selection of restaurants - our favourites were in the Marina-.

We wanted from our hotel: To walk easily into town in the evenings, literally 100 yards away. Near beach - lift down to beach! Cleanliness - spotless Pool, free use pool towels - ideal Roof terrace for magnificent views & sunsets. Staff - very friendly & helpful Absolute gem of a hotel, definitely will return.

Excellent hotel

Beyond wonderful experience! Definitely go back, staff was amazing. Only bad thing is no iron in rooms, they make you pay per item to iron. So bring your own! Great location

Great views, outdated hotel

Posted 22-May-2016
Pros: Customer service
Cons: The bed - replace them with mattresses produced within the last decade and replace the pillows.
Location: Close to everything - great location
This hotel was probably fabulous in the late 1980s - down to every last detail. In the current year (2016), not so much. Some of the basic amenities that you expect from a 4-star establishment were missing - most notably a comfortable bed. This had to be THE hardest bed I've slept on other than camping. No part of the bed contours to your body and the pillows were flat like pancakes, so it was just uncomfortable. Checked out the bar - standard selections and so-so execution. But, the service was great. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to provide assistance and/or entertainment, which partially offset some of the room challenges.

Mycket bra läge i Sorrento, nära till det mesta. Många trevliga restauranger runt om.
