Rustico al Forno is a typical property in the village of Sonogno, located right in the centre in front of the oven. The Rustico was built in 1400 and renovated respecting the historical characteristics in 2006. Entering the interior, we find a beautiful, bright modern kitchen, equipped with everything our guests need to be able to indulge themselves at the cooker for a good lunch or dinner. The kitchen is open-plan and is complemented by the dining table and a wood-burning stove to warm the cooler evenings. Downstairs you will find a double bunk bed with a solid wood frame. Adjacent to the double bed is a comfortable bathroom with shower. Starting from the kitchen floor, going upstairs you will find a room under the roof with parquet flooring, which is also used as a relaxing TV room as well as a comfortable room for 2 people.
In front of the entrance to the Rustico there is a table where you can have lunch or dinner in the open air.
Despite the road signs warning you not to enter the centre of the hamlet by car, you can reach the rustico to unload and load your luggage even by car, after which you continue to the public car park. Within walking distance of the Rustico there are 3 restaurants and a wine shop, the Forno del Borgo where you can go down to buy croissants still warm for a good breakfast, is located just 5 metres from the property.
For nature lovers, a 20-minute walk will take you to the Froda waterfall, a beautiful place and certainly suitable for hot days where tourists generally take advantage of it to photograph the natural beauty and also for a well-deserved cool-down in the cool, clear waters.
Within walking distance you will also find a wine shop, a grocery shop, a children\'s playground and a tennis court.
Sonogno is situated 917 m above sea level.
There are two car parks, one of which is chargeable and one is free.
