Highly recommend. Gorgeous restaurant and rooms with a beautiful courtyard garden. Perfect for us with two children who were in same building but floor above via internal staircase. Car park just round the corner had to pay separately for but plenty spaces. Bed was fine but could have been more comfortable and slippers would be good but appreciated the robes. Recently returned from a great four nights stay for our first visit to the Northdale. From arrival to departure everything was Excellent.greeting on arrival by the owners Melanie and Chris and we appreciated the tea and coffee that was provided whilst discussing the hotel and facilities.We booked a twin superior room (1) which is big room and as a very comfortable King size bed.There even a welcome basket of fruit and teas making facilitys which is replaced each day. Tucked away in a little hamlet, this delightful guest house is a gem of a find. Everything is well maintained, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as good as it gets, all personally served at the table in the large modern kitchen diner. The staff were kind, helpful and with a good degree of local knowledge. There is a hot tub in the garden and just steps away from the local pub which serves good food. We have no hesitation in saying you will be very happy to stay there....

Excellent from the start. Breakfast was a full English and i mean FULL.my hubby really enjoyed it. There was a wide choice of alternatives otherwise The evening meals made it hard to choose, never seen a sirloin steak large and cooked to perfection, it was delicious, All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Top marks to the chef and Sue who made it a nice place to be. Hope to return for a longer stay soon.

This hotel is full of character. The floors have original timber floorboards and even have an authentic’creak’ when you walk over them. If you like ‘olde worlde’ places you’ll like staying at the Mansion House. The staff were extremely friendly and polite which really made my stay enjoyable. I stayed over Christmas so there was only a skeleton staff but I had everything I needed and was always warm and comfortable.
